For each linked account, choose:
-
Fund (required)
-
GL Name (required for arkGL funds)

Why Map to arkGL?
Mapping allows bank transactions to automatically prefill one side of a journal entry when submitting to arkGL. This also enables:
-
Accurate tagging with GL accounts
-
Reconciliation tools between bank and GL balances
-
Reporting across GL
Step-by-Step: Reviewing Synced Transactions
Once the account is connected:
-
Ark will sync transactions from your bank automatically
-
View these in the Bank Feeds page
-
Use Hybrid, Data View, or Transaction List tabs to manage them
Step-by-Step: Editing Bank Account Settings
You can update mapping details at any time:
-
Go to Bank Feeds > Dashboard
-
Click the name of the bank account
-
Edit fields like:
-
Bank Nickname – Add a custom label to easily distinguish similarly named accounts on the Bank Feeds page
-
GL Name – Update the associated General Ledger (if applicable)
-
GL Account – Update the account used for journal entries in arkGL
-
-
Click Save to apply updates
Best Practices
-
Choose a sync start date that avoids duplicate entries
-
Finalize your Chart of Accounts before posting entries
-
Keep memo tagging consistent for clean downstream data
-
Use secure credentials with access to API/MFA authentication
