  • Configure how data appears in Capital Account summaries and dashboards

Who Can Use This Feature

Only Ark Client Admin users can edit Transaction Mapping. Navigate to Client Configuration > Transaction Mapping to view or make changes.

Overview: Transaction Mapping

Transaction Mapping allows Ark Client Admins to configure both transaction types and metrics, and organize how they display on the Capital Accounts page (for both Admin and LP portals).

  • Transaction Types: Represent financial events (e.g., Contributions, Distributions). These use the same currency as the fund and default to two decimal places.

  • Metrics: Display reference data such as IRR, MOIC, or dates. Metrics are manually uploaded and use formats like:

    • Percentages: 0.00%

    • Dates: MM/DD/YYYY

    • Multiples: 0.00x

The Capital Accounts layout includes configurable columns - each column can represent either a transaction-based summary or a metric. Columns may be added, deleted, or edited to adjust:

  • Type: Transaction or Metric

  • Date Range: Quarter to Date (QTD) or Inception to Date (ITD)

  • Label: Column header as seen in the UI

  • Index: Controls the order of columns on the page

FAQ

Q: Can I upload metrics?
A: Yes. Metrics can be uploaded manually or via transaction upload template. To upload a metric, do not enter symbols in the amount field (e.g. 03/15/2025 would become 03152025 and 1.42x would become 1.42).

Q: Can I reorder columns in Capital Accounts?
A: Yes. Column order is controlled via the index set during column creation.
