Choose single vs. multi-currency setup early. Each currency requires a separate ledger. -
Use Clear Naming Conventions
Descriptive ledger names improve visibility when managing multiple funds. -
Leverage arkGL Features
Setting up your ledger unlocks powerful automations:-
Automated investor allocations
-
Integrated capital activity
-
Real-time Schedule of Investments (SOI) updates
-
PCAP generation and cash reconciliation
-
-
Private Blockchain Security
All entries are recorded on Ark’s private blockchain infrastructure, ensuring tamper-proof auditability and data integrity.
FAQ
Q: Can I delete a ledger that has posted journal entries?
No. A ledger must be entry-free to be deleted.
Q: What makes arkGL better than using an external GL system?
arkGL is purpose-built for private funds and integrates directly with other ark modules like Allocations, SOI, and Investor Reporting - eliminating the need for disconnected systems or duplicate data entry.
